Newman House has several leadership positions, including paid Federal work-study as well as volunteer positions, open now. Consider serving as Business Manager, Music Director/Piano Accompanist, Social Committee Member, Social Committee Chair, or Catholic Relief Services Campus Associate.
Each year students serve as members of Newman House's leadership team. Here are some of the opportunities available now.
- Catholic Relief Services Campus Associate Act an ambassador between one of the world's largest international relief organizations and the Pacific campus. Help organize social justice events and educate the Newman community and campus at-large about issues around the globe. Last year's CRS campus associate, Joanne Gallegos, is still on campus and can help orient you and act as a resource.
- Social Committee/Social Committee Chair Our social committee will plan out a wonderful year of community building activities. At Mass, the opening song and introductory rites are designed to help those gathered take on the form of a community. Ditto for the social committee.
- Music Director/Piano Accompanist This paid work-study position is a lot of fun. You help the assembly sing at Mass, run rehearsals, and work with the group planning music.
- Business Manager Another work-study position, this one involves bookkeeping, interfacing with ASUOP, keeping Newman organized, and tracking progress on our strategic plan.
Positions will be filled ASAP. Contact Greg at (209) 951-0881 or newmanhouse@pacific.edu for more details.
