St. Mary's Dining Hall: A Fulfillment to the Stockton Community
Founded by Fr. Alan McCoy, St. Mary's Interfaith Community Services not only provide food, but also clothing, and medical and dental care, as well as educational programs (TLC) for the homeless and working poor individuals and families. On Tuesday, five members from Newman House arrived at St. Mary's Dining Hall to help serve the Stockton community. It was intimidating to be in an unfamiliar environment, but in the end we've come to realize that it was not that different. It is part of our community and we should play our part by helping out. At St. Mary’s Dining Hall, the five of us help out by serving food to the Stockton community. When we saw the happiness in their eyes and their thankfulness, it was more than enough for us to realize their sincerity, and that made us felt a sense of fulfillment. Serving food was not a duty, but rather an act of love and compassion. It was a wonderful opportunity and we look forward to many more.
OPERATION RICE BOWLS SPOTLIGHT ON HAITI

The purpose of the dinner is for everyone to come together as a community to celebrate the things that ORB stands for: praying, fasting, and learning. However, this particular dinner will have an emphasis on Haiti. We will learn about life in Haiti, the work that CRS does there, and the many ways in which we can help people live better lives in Haiti. There will be GAMES, MUSIC, FREE FOOD, FRIENDS & FUN! Come and check it out!
